TimeKeeping.IO is a managed timekeeping and accrual service provider, specializing in time and attendance, accrual benefit management, and day‑to‑day workforce administration. We do not expect our clients to have the knowledge to manipulate data, configure complex systems, or maintain changes to rules or policies. We handle this for our clients directly — complete onboarding, setup, training and support are integral to being a managed service provider.
Our platform includes real‑time time card corrections, accrual calculation, labor level adjustments, multi‑company support, and full oversight of your time and attendance environment. Whether you need incremental fixes, last‑minute edits, or emergency payroll preparation, our team steps in to ensure accuracy and continuity. As a managed service provider, we integrate with payroll systems, HR platforms, and third‑party services on your behalf, ensuring that your data flows cleanly and that your processes stay compliant.
From mobile punching to complex labor structures, we maintain the operational backbone, so that your organization can focus on running the business — not running the system. TimeKeeping.IO delivers a seamless, responsive experience by managing the entire platform for you, providing clarity, consistency, and peace of mind across your workforce operations.
TimeKeeping.IO was designed to give you a high‑performance platform right in your browser, that is available across every device you use. The platform is the operational layer that powers our managed service, delivering speed, consistency, and a unified experience.
TimeKeeping.IO supports up to nine custom labor levels. Name each labor level using the terminology your business uses, i.e. Division, Department, Job Title. Labor levels provide filtering and grouping of your employees.
TimeKeeping.IO supports multiple companies or locations. Each company or location can have its own set of rules and labor levels. Multiple companies allow the platform to handle organizations with many thousands of employees.
Assign rules to employees using a rule template allows you to add or remove rules from and to individual employees without creating new rule groups.
TimeKeeping.IO features a highly configurable calculation engine. Calculate daily/consecutive/period overtime, differentials, automatic holiday payment, worked holiday overtime, proportioned/fixed accrual earnings, available/unavailable accrued hours, earning/usage/balance maximum accrual hours.
The TimeKeeping.IO mobile hub available for Android and iOS devices allows employees to punch within assigned geo-restricted zones. Employees can also view thirty days of punch history.
TimeKeeping.IO integrates with your payroll, HR or scheduling systems. We can push or pull data using your payroll - HR - scheduling API or they can use our API. For payroll, we create the payroll file in the format required by your payroll system.
For SNF clients, the platform creates the PBJ file for submission to CMS. The correct calendar date of hours worked is determined at the time of calculation. Time card adjustments for time owed can be entered using the start and end date/time, so that worked hours are attributed to the correct calendar date(s).
The platform maintains an audit trail of all additions, edits or deletion of employees, time card and configuration data performed by users. For edits, the previous value is maintained. The UTC time of all changes is recorded as well as the IP address of the user.
Reports are created as PDFs or Excel files. Employees can be filtered by labor levels, rules and employee information such as union status.
All data is exportable to Excel workbooks. This can be used for reporting or for importing.
An exported worksheet can be imported without any modifications to the Excel sheet names or column names.
The TimeKeeping.IO managed service was created out of necessity.
The founders were looking for a timekeeping and accruals platform that had the same features as their aging Windows based software, without any of the tedious setup, configuration, maintenance, and IT issues that owning an on-premise software gives you. They wanted the speed and responsiveness of a desktop application, but delivered via the web browser. This would allow access to the platform from anywhere, and could be used on a smartphone, a tablet, or any desktop computer. The platform also needed to offer a true multi-user system that did not lock out users when another user was viewing or editing an employee’s time card. It was also important to avoid potential time clock related problems like communication errors or hardware malfunction. Additionally, they wanted to avoid the clutter and inconvenience of creating rules every time they had a new hire with rules that were slightly different than an existing rule. They wanted to avoid rule bloat while allowing rule customization at the employee level.
The founders started with a single programmer to work on a proof-of-concept to demonstrate that timekeeping and accruals can be provided as a managed service platform and does not have to compromise on speed, if the correct web technologies are used. From this proof-of-concept, they began to build the platform using a team with over forty years of experience in the timekeeping (time and attendance) and accrual systems. TimeKeeping.IO launched its managed service offering in 2024, bringing a modern, hands‑on approach to workforce operations. We continue to add features and build relationships with other providers in the payroll and human resource management space.
